Cool Music Links

Here are a few of my favourite bands in the unsigned domain. I like different styles, as you can see, but they have one thing in common: Quality. I just might, at times, highlight other artists, but here is my selection for now:

Star Apple Theory

This is a very cool band from Toledo, OH, fronted by Monti Hannah. They have a great sound, very inventive music, a powerful post punk cocktail. I have gotten a pre-release of their new CD, Sea Salt and Lemons, and it has been in my car stereo ever since I received it. It just stays fresh, excellent music, this is a top class band. Their CD will be out this summer, as well as a video for their first single, Shimmer Cell. Check them out for yourselves!

Virus

Virus is a drum and bass artist from the UK. He just released his first CD, full of whopping DnB tracks, and he has a knack for making cool breakbeats as well. Amazing stuff! Check him out at mp3unsigned.com!

Re-curl

Harmonic pop with a twist. This group from the UK makes some excellent music. They are currently finishing their first CD. Once I receive the pre-release, I will put on some more info here...

Synthex

These guys make some of the sexiest trance I know. A duo based in Britain, they have mastered the art of taking an audience on a trip with their music. Check out their website, and check out their links on mp3 unsigned for some of their music. If you are into trance, you have got to check these guys out!

Nick Drozdoff

Former member of Maynard Ferguson Orchestra. He has performed with everyone from Bob Newhart to Bill cosby to Sammy Davis, Junior to Dennis De Young of Styx to the Tempations, The Ojays, etc. Excellent musician, performer and composer. Mood music, Jazz, Classical, he'll take on anything.

Atom tha Immortal

Rapper Par Excellence Atom the Immortal aka AI has a new website, and it's looking cool. This guy makes some of the most sophisticated rhymes I've seen so far. Mystical, delivered with a truckload of punch, his music is like a rollercoaster. Original rap artist that manages to actually write mind-twisting lyrics without having every second line ending in profanity. Check him out!

MP3 Unsigned

The very best site for unsigned artists. A gold mine of excellent music, very talented people, non conformists, no big uck record companies strangling creative processes, and yadda yadda. Add to that an extensive A&R database, production database, and most music is downloadable too! What are you still doing here? Go check out mp3unsigned now!
